A few forms of arthritis affect children still in diapers, while the most common types affect those in the prime of their lives. Arthritis actually consists of more than 100 different conditions of which can be managed by both Chiropractic and Acupuncture. These can range from tendinitis, bursitis, and osteoarthritis to crippling conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. Have no fear – your doctors at ASFCA are trained in how to best treat you.
Did you know???
There are 206 bones within the human body. Where one bone meets another bone is termed the joint and there are more than 100 joints present. Within each joint space there is a fluid layer known as a synovium. The synovium is responsible for nourishing the joints and keeping them lubricated to protect from wear and tear and provide them with a nice, smooth gliding sensation.
Arthritis can be described as an inflammation of this synovial layer within the joints.
When the synovial layer becomes inflamed, the joints have more friction when moving and are not as easily nourished. In turn wear and tear in the joints sets in damaging the underlying bone and causing pain. Chiropractic & Acupuncture have long given arthritis pain relief. As arthritis progresses, pain and loss of mobility tend to follow.
